Ground Transportation to Long Island MacArthur Airport |

Whether you prefer to taking the train to the plane or the plane to the train, your travels are well covered coming into and out of Long Island MacArthur Airport. The Long Island Railroad (LIRR) is located just north of LIMA, and we offer an inexpensive, 10-minute shuttle ride to transport passengers to and from the airport.
The LIRR has recently added a special “MacArthur Airport Package” offering a discounted ticket for airport passengers. For more information, please visit http://www.mta.info/lirr/Video/MacArthur/. For both local and distance trips the shuttle is available outside of baggage and passengers can be taken as far as NYC and even Newark, NJ once they arrive at the station.
Five national car rental companies are located in baggage claim area of the terminal. The county bus service also makes hourly stops throughout the day at the main terminal. A greyhound bus terminal is also just a short distance away. Taxi service is waiting right out side (see terminal map for location).
