For instance, regardless of your preference, Long Island MacArthur Airport has the snack or meal for you. Our restaurants and eateries include Starbucks, Maggie O’Shea, Mama Lombardi and Phillips Seafood. In addition, Maggie O’Shea and Phillips Seafood each feature flat screen televisions in their bar areas.
Our growing list of amenities include free wireless Internet service offered throughout the entire terminal complex and in our free courtesy cell phone parking lot. Long Island MacArthur is the first airport in the Tri-state region to offer such extensive free Wifi service.
Also new as of 2009 is the airport’s Pet Relief Area designed to accommodate customers’ small cats and dogs flying on Southwest Airlines.
In addition, Long Island MacArthur Airport offers one a warm, inviting Mothers’ Rooms - one of the very few accommodations anywhere in the country that provides a place where parents can take their infants for a quiet, tranquil environment for nursing infants and children.
Three separate news stores, spanning both the pre-screen and post-screening areas, offer a wide variety of products and publications. For book readers, there’s also the Heritage Bookstore located near the food court area between Gates A4 and A5.
Arriving passengers have their choice of nearby hotels, with nearly a dozen within just a few miles of the airport. Many offer free shuttle service.
