Since March, Parrington’s “Hometown Hero” Program Welcomed Over 50 Soldiers
May, 2009 - Islip Supervisor Phil Nolan and Brookhaven Supervisor Mark Lesko joined Councilman Gene Parrington recently to welcome home six soldiers at Long Island MacArthur Airport. Parrington’s “Hometown Hero” Welcome Program, which welcomes soldiers returning home through the town-owned airport, has welcomed home more than 50 soldiers in just ninety days.
